Minecraft The Aether 2 The Highlands Mod update

In this brand new video by Bencraft, the plan was to showcase from start to finish the brand new update for the mod The Aether 2, known as The Highlands. In this update on the other hand there was a brand new feature which Bencraft did not read up on. According to this last build you no longer require a glowstone portal to go to the aether. Instead you need to create a Aether teleporter as shown in the picture below.

You no longer need to create the glowstone portal for the entrance to the aether, now you can create a Aether teleporter of iron and stone.

What's new

Back in my day you had to play survival, get diamonds to create a diamond pickaxe, get obsidian, go to the nether, harvest glowstone, and then you could create the portal, but as of the new update this is no longer possible. The devs said this about the new addition:

"New in 1.12.2 we have a redesigned portal block! The Aether Teleporter! Crafted with just stone and iron you can now access the Aether II's content early on in your survival playthrough."

And it is true! With this new block it is much easier to go to the aether with the lack of materials. This new update "The Highlands" is not finished yet you see and is still beta. So that is why many of the features and core mechanics are not in this version of The Aether.

The video is from start to finish, from where he has nothing to where he gets the supplies he needs to create the portal. I of course recommend it since i made it, but it is worth a watch.
