Mojang launched a brand new game called Minecraft dungeons for about 8 months ago, but now they released a gameplay trailer for the game!

Minecraft Dungeons - E3 Gameplay reveal trailer

Minecraft dungeons is a new game by Mojang which is a hack and slash title much like the Diablo series and is set in the Minecraft world. This amazing game looks stunning and smooth and we can't wait to play it. The gameplay looks really good and it looks like we would get some really cool and great looking boss fights which we are all thrilled for.

It would also seem like they are introducing different classes for the game and that we are going to play as different characters with different skills, but actually it seems that players may choose their own skins and skills, which can both be in singleplayer, but also as co-op or multiplayer!

On Mojangs official site they tell us this about the game:

"Fight your way through an all-new action-adventure game, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers and set in the Minecraft universe! Up to 4 friends can play together in local and online co-op."

They also announced that this game will be coming to Xbox, Nintento switch, playstation 4 and windows! Which is great, but for MAC users it is still uncertain.

Personalize your character, then fight up-close and personal with melee swings, hang back with ranged attacks, or tank your way through swarms of mobs, shielded by heavy armour!

MOJANG

"The first stand-alone game developed by Mojang and set in the Minecraft universe since… well, Minecraft!"

When all comes to all, Croft Gaming™ was established in its early days as a Minecraft channel. So not covering a Minecraft game would be weird. Maybe that is also why we are so excited for it? No wonders, when it actually looks so great as it does. On Minecraft Dungeons website the developers also say a few words about the game. Heres some words by Måns Olson, which is the game director of Minecraft Dungeons. "In the first few seconds of the trailer, we get a glimpse of the Redstone Monstrosity. If it looks (or rather sounds) familiar, you may just recall it from a very tall and very ominous-looking shadow at the end of the Announce Trailer that we showed at MINECON. We’re also doing an initial fly-through through the Fiery Forge, which is the home of the Redstone Monstrosity. We then transition to a level called Desert Temple."

The desert temple with the skeleton vanguard and in the background, perched on the throne, is the Nameless One, who holds power over the undead. This is another mob new to the Minecraft universe.

"Valorie is featured as one of our four main characters, but we’re really dealing with skins here. It’s up to the player to choose their appearance, but all of our characters have the same stats and skills. You control your character, either using a mouse and keyboard, or a gamepad. Valorie engages in ranged combat, taking down an Illager and a zombie, before proceeding deeper into the woods. Ranged combat is always available alongside melee combat in Minecraft Dungeons. Players carry weapons of both types at all times."

"Some pickups will come in handy. In this case, a piece of armour and a giant hammer! This is one of my favourite weapons. It has a very satisfying thud, leaving mobs flying in every direction. We should probably equip that!"

"(In the inventory) We see the player’s level, remaining enchantment points and emeralds. Emeralds are a purely in-game currency for buying items from merchants in the game. The inventory is where we can equip weapons, armour and powerful artifacts, as well as enchant our gear. Here’s that enchantment at work! We’ve enchanted our hammer with the Thundering Enchantment, which sends lightning flying between mobs as you strike. This is a fun one."

"Oops. Our hero is downed. Luckily, a trusted ally is here to save the day (and us). In multiplayer mode, you only lose a life when everyone on the team is down, so be quick to resurrect each other!"

You can read the full interview with Måns here. But for now that is the most important parts you need to know about the Minecraft Dungeons game. It looks and seems absolutely awesome and we in Croft Gaming™ can't wait to get our hands on it.

We in Croft Gaming™ will of course be covering this brand new game by Mojang. Stick around for more upcoming trailers and news about the game. And if you want to read more go to: https://minecraft.net/dungeons where you also can sign up to join their beta test!
